The Iron County Fair Board, Hurley Area Chamber of Commerce and White Thunder Riders Snowmobile Club are pleased to announce that a new form of snowmobile racing will be taking place on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Iron County Fairgrounds — Terra X Racing.
Terra X Racing is a form of snow oval/ sno cross racing and consists of time trials/ with the top 3 advancing per class. This format is in the early stages of racing and appeals to trail riders — racing / fun/ lower chance of getting hurt. With feature, open mod and open stock racing classes one goal of event organizers is to provide a racing format for EVERYONE to get involved in. “This style of race is intended to bring snowmobilers from all over to compete against one another in their trail riding group. With the help of the White Thunder Riders snowmobile club prepping the race course, the Masters Racing Circuit will provide day of organization. The track is designed in a horse shoe shape, participants will compete by qualifying with the best time.
At the end of the Terra-X races, 500cc snowmobiles, 1999 and older will run against each other for 30 minutes in the Vintage Enduro.
